Project Overview
The Westside Health Center is a new out-patient clinic located in the sparsely populated western region of the Tohono O'odham Nation. This clinic will serve the primary care needs of the approximately 2,400 Native Americans living in this remote area.

This joint venture project between the Tohono O'odham Nation and the Indian Health Service is the first in the nation to reach this level of design. The TON is responsible for design and construction, while the IHS is responsible to equip, staff, operate and maintain the facility.

Services provided by this facility will include Primary Care, Optometry, Podiatry (Visiting Professional), Dental Care, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Mental Health / Social Work, Public Health Nursing, Facility Management, Housekeeping, Property & Supply, Education and Group Consultation, Employee Facilities, Business Office, Health Information Management and Administration.

The 30 acre site is planned to accommodate a clinic and staff housing, with adequate land reserved for future expansion of both.
