Completion Date: December 2008
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) is unable to meet the demand for services, and is unable to expand enough on the main campus to meet the current or projected need. A replacement strategy has been developed and approved that includes development of satellite clinics in the Southwest, Southeast and Northeast Valley Areas. The Southwest Ambulatory Care Center is the first of the three locations to be designed and constructed.
The facility provides comprehensive ambulatory care services as well as Dental, Ancillary, Behavioral, Public Health and Administrative Services.
The design integrates the cultural values of the Pima and Maricopa by orientation towards the sacred Estrella Mountain Range, incorporation of traditional materials and basket patterns throughout.
The JSRa Team is proud to have designed the first major Healthcare Facility built in the Phoenix Service Unit for some 40 years!
